Job description
NEOMAT is a major industrial adventure: the creation of a production site for cathode materials for electric batteries. Within this Franco-Chinese joint venture, you participate in the construction of a flagship of green industry in France.
As a Cost Control Specialist, you join the project team in the site preparation phase. Your role is to ensure the reliability of financial data and to support the Project Director in the rigorous monitoring of investments (CAPEX).
Main missions
Under the supervision of the Project Director, you ensure the daily monitoring of the budget and commitments.
1. Management of the Budget Framework
- Update of the CBS: Maintain the cost breakdown structure in line with the technical progress of the construction site.
- Data reliability: Ensure the accurate recording of financial flows and ensure the consistency of information in our management tools.
2. Control of Commitments (CAPEX)
- Procurement Support: Centralize and financially analyze the quotes and supplier proposals for construction lots.
- Order Tracking: Control the adequacy between orders, invoices and provisional budget.
Change Management: Track change orders and update the financial impact in real time.
3. Reporting and Performance Analysis
- Dashboards: Prepare monthly indicators (committed, billed, remains to be spent).
- Variance Analysis: Identify and explain the variations between the planned budget and the actual observed.
- Treasury: Contribute to the development of project cash flow forecasts.
Your profile
Training:
Bac+5 (Master’s in Finance, Management Control or Engineering School with a management option).
Professional experience:
A first experience in an industrial environment or on construction projects is required.
Skills:
Technical Skills: Advanced mastery of Excel (TCD, complex functions). Curiosity for ERP tools (SAP) and WBS/CBS logics is essential.
Interpersonal skills:
Scientific rigor, intellectual curiosity and excellent interpersonal skills to communicate with technical teams and international partners.
