Neomat’s Human Resources department was on site to actively participate in a job fair organised by Polytech Lille in Villeneuve d’Ascq on 12 March 2026.
Among the hundreds of students present on the day, Neomat was able to meet and chat with 77 of them!
Neomat, and in particular Neomat CAM – the project to build a production plant for active cathode materials – was announced by XTC New Energy and Orano on 5 March 2026 in Dunkirk. This plant is expected to start production in 2028 with a capacity of 40,000 tonnes per year of CAM to respond to the initial needs of gigafactories. By way of comparison, this capacity is equivalent to 500,000 electric vehicle batteries of approximately 60 kWh per year.
In addition to ongoing recruitment, work-study opportunities are also available in connection with the construction site in fields such as civil engineering, electromechanical engineering, HSE, safety, etc.
By the end of the operational phase, 400 direct jobs are expected to be created, 90% of which will be local, across a wide range of sectors: chemistry, electronics, industrial plant operation, quality control, supply chain, maintenance, etc.; engineering roles related to core processes (primarily chemical), research and development; and support roles in human resources, administration, finance, sales and legal affairs.
