Luz Deinny Cely Hostos "I was delighted to represent Orano Batteries and #Neomat at the Batteries Event in Lyon, during a round table on building a European battery value chain for electric vehicles.
It was a great opportunity to present Orano’s vision and our strategic diversification into battery materials and recycling, including our Neomat project — a partnership with XTC New Energy Materials Europe GmbH.
Our ambition is to help build a robust and sustainable European battery industry, from cathode material production to end-of-life recycling. Achieving this means ensuring product quality, supply chain reliability, and operational excellence.
To make this happen, we also need:
- Long-term contracts to secure our order book
- Stronger European regulations to foster recycling and circularity
- Financial support to enable large-scale investment and competitiveness
